LTE Cat1 was initially introduced in 3GPP Release 8 in 2008, and has over the years become the standardized LTE communication technology, which is mainly used in IoT (Internet of Things) devices-applications. The aim with LTE Cat1 is to cover wide area network with low power consumption (LPWAN), it provides maximum speed of 10Mb/s downlink and 5Mb/s uplink. In 2016, the LTE Cat1 bis was introduced – 3GPP Release 13, coming with a single antenna version, and an affordable price.
Amphenol’s high-quality LTE Cat1 bis modules have a compact design, ensures low power consumption, leverages maximum bit-transfer and is affordable to many industries; consumer electronics, IoT, industrial, Smart home, automotive, medical devices, CPE, M2M/V2X, fleet, public safety etc.
Amphenol’s LTE Cat1 bis comes in two versions; A1310EA-0V02AX and A1310EA-GV02AX (including GNSS), both with chipset from Unisoc.
